We look at the questions you should be asking when considering luxury toilet hire.

At Wight Event Toilet Hire, we like to give our customers all the information they need to choose the correct luxury toilets to hire. Our FAQs feature many of the questions we are asked regularly but here, we’ve put together some others you might be wondering about.

How many toilets should I book?

There’s no straightforward answer to this, as there are so many factors to take into account. As a starting point, if you let us know what kind of event it is, and rough guest/attendee numbers, we can go from there. Have a look at How many toilets do I need for an event? to get an idea.

Is delivery between 9-5?

Our experience has taught us that many wedding organisers and event coordinators do NOT keep to regular office hours and, if you are looking for short notice, emergency toilet hire, you can’t guarantee that your emergency will take place between 9 and 5! So, we will happily arrange delivery and collection for a time that suits you. Obviously, the more notice we have, the greater flexibility we can offer.

Our event is remote – what about electricity and water supplies?

All the luxury toilet trailers in our fleet operate on a standard 13 amp domestic electricity supply. Where no mains power is available, units can be generator-operated; if you need a generator, we can put you in contact with reputable suppliers.

All units have an integral water supply so no mains supply is necessary (unless you are looking for mains toilet block hire!).

Will the toilets have any toiletries provided?

Once delivered and installed, units will be fully stocked with all required consumables. These include toilet paper and quality paper hand towels, high end toiletries (luxury soap and moisturiser) plus antibacterial hand sanitiser in the portable urinal trailer. For multi-day events, we can arrange for these to be replenished as required.

What happens if the toilets need to be emptied?

Rest assured we will empty waste tanks throughout the hire period. At WET Hire, we are a registered Environmental Agency waste carrier, which qualifies us to empty the toilet units and transport the waste for disposal, following EA guidelines.

Do you offer customers any support?

We offer all customers 24-hour access to an emergency helpline number that is managed by our engineers and technicians. Support is available round the clock and where we are unable to help over the phone, we will attend the site in person. 

Do I have to take out insurance?

Customers are responsible for taking out insurance against any damage or loss, including theft and vandalism. Any insurance that you take out, such as wedding insurance, must include toilet hire, and we will happily advise on this.

How much notice do I need to give when booking toilet units?

In the events calendar there are periods where we can be extremely busy (‘wedding season’ is one of those periods) so if you know you will need portable toilet hire in advance, we would always encourage you to get in touch sooner rather than later. This will give you a wider choice of units that may not be available later on and will avoid any disappointment.

Do you offer luxury toilet hire near me?

If you are in the Somerset area, we can help!  We deliver to any location in and around Bath, Somerset and up to a 40 mile radius outside the city centre. However, if you are situated outside of our catchment area then please do still get in touch and we can quote you accordingly!

How much does it cost to hire portable toilets?
