Large-scale refurbishments at Cardiff Airport
In 2021, Cardiff Airport carried out extensive refurbishments. That meant they had to shut down the nearby toilet facilities.
The project required a huge number of workers. And as the biggest airport in Cardiff, it was necessary to provide enough toilets to continue delivering excellent service to hundreds of thousands of travellers. That includes young children, older adults and disabled travellers at all times of the day and night.
To continue meeting demand, the team at Cardiff Airport chose WET Hire for their long-term portable toilet hire. We delivered and set up enough trailers to keep everyone satisfied, and ensured the toilets remained well cleaned and maintained throughout the refurbishment.
Switching to gender-neutral school bathrooms
Many schools, colleges and universities across the UK are taking a progressive step and switching to gender-neutral bathrooms. Of course, while the renovations are underway, they need replacement portable toilets to pick up the slack. A year-long construction project at London Euston train station
Building the HS2 high-speed railway line from London to Birmingham was no easy feat. The works took almost a year to complete, and workers needed constant access to toilets for their own health, safety and comfort. That’s why WET Hire was contracted to provide two fully compliant toilet trailers at London Euston station to ensure Health & Safety Executive (HSE) requirements were met.
Supplying campsite with toilets and showers for the whole summer
While some are open throughout the year, summer camps and campsites have their busiest periods during summer. Rather than build and maintain large toilet and washroom facilities, it’s often more cost-effective to hire them when necessary to supplement smaller fixed features. Ideally, we hitch these toilets to the mains drain so they don’t need frequent emptying, refilling and servicing. But we’re happy to provide comprehensive toilet cleaning and servicing if mains access isn’t possible.
