All our prices are bespoke, which means we take a range of factors into account, from how long you need your luxury toilet trailer for, to how far it has to travel. This means you get an accurate price you can factor into your event costs.
How many toilets do I need to hire?
It depends on how long your event is taking place, how many people are attending, and whether you’re serving food and drink.
According to UK Government guidelines, if you’re hosting an event over six hours long and there is food and drink available, you need:
- One toilet per 75 women
- One toilet per 400 men
- One urinal per 100 men
However, bear in mind that this is the absolute minimum. If you want to ensure a comfortable experience with as little queuing as possible, we recommend hiring more toilets.
You’ll also need to take disabled event attendees into consideration. While there aren’t any specific guidelines about the number of toilets you need to offer, The Equality Act states that ‘reasonable adjustments’ must be in place.

Other costs you need to consider
There will be some additional costs you need to bear in mind when hiring a luxury toilet trailer. These include:
- How long you need to hire the trailer for. The longer the hire period, the more it will cost. Even for long-term use, it can be more affordable to hire rather than buy!
- How far away you are. Most rental companies will charge to deliver and pick up your toilet. We charge £1.25 per mile and deliver up to a 40-mile radius outside of Bath city centre
- Electricity and water costs. Toilets need energy to operate, which means your bills will increase slightly. All our toilets run off a standard household plug or a 16 amp socket if running from a generator to keep costs as low as possible. All our luxury toilet trailers are self-contained and have their own pre-filled water tank, but you can run them from the water mains if you prefer
- Insurance costs. Your hire company will have public liability and employer liability insurance, but it’s recommended you’re also insured against loss, fire, and theft
- Whether you need an attendant. An attendant will keep your luxury toilets in pristine condition during the hire period, carrying out spot checks and replenishing supplies when needed
- Whether you need a deep clean. Most rental companies will come to site to clean your toilets, refill the water tanks, and safely dispose of any waste
- Whether you need showers too. As well as toilet hire, we also offer luxury shower trailers, which are perfect for festivals and sporting events.
