Government guidelines on the provision of toilet facilities for construction workers

Construction workers also need toilet and welfare facilities, with access to large wash basins and running hot and cold water. Where you are liable for their provision, the HSE guidance is one toilet for every 7 workers across a full time, 40-hour working week. Of course, while construction workers could use the same facilities as your workforce, they will be, by the nature of their work, dirty and dusty and it may not be a practical idea for them to share.
